  • "MP Playing Cards iPad App", by Southgate Labs

This mash-up is a light-hearted iPad app with an underlying web service, combining statistical data about the current Members of Parliament from a number of different sources, from Hansard to Twitter. Many of us grew up collecting All Blacks playing cards out of Weetbix packets, and then comparing their vital, but ultimately meaningless, statistics with our friends to see which player was the best. For some reason, there has never been an edition for MPs. Well, now there is!

You can view a page for each organisation and organisational category, which contain wikipedia entry summaries and lists of organisation parliament submissions..

It provides a form-based RFP builder to create quality first draft RFPs that can be exported to your word processing application. Draft RFPs cannot be seen by other site users and are regularly deleted from the site's database.

  • "Subterra Networks: The Pike River Data Enhancement Module", by The Distiller / Subterra Networks

  • "SwimWhere", by Jonathan Hunt

"Water is central to the social, economic and cultural well-being of many aspects of New Zealands society," (Proposed National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management, Ministry for the Environment). SwimWhere is an iPhone/Android app with supporting website to make water quality data for contact recreation (e.g. swimming, surfing, kayaking) readily available. By visualising the problem areas and providing mobile access to up-to-date water quality status I hope to encourage water-based recreation and contribute to reversing the decline of water quality in NZ's waterways.
