$2000 will be awarded to the application that best supports the Canterbury earthquake recovery. This could relate to specific parts of the recovery including community well-being, culture and heritage, the built environment, the natural environment, and economic recovery, or any mix of these.

We also have a special prize pool for the best entries from New Zealand Primary and Secondary students.

Statistics New Zealand Earthquake information portal

Statistics NZ’s Earthquake information portal catalogues statistical data and reports designed to inform agencies responding to the Canterbury earthquakes. It provides links to reports and data from Statistics New Zealand and from other government and non-government agencies and organisations. You will need to check the license and usage rights with the respective organisations before you use data.
